you must mean the song parody that O&A ripped off from Stern and played on
WNEW

O&A are two no talent Stern clones doing their show directly from the "how
to do the Howard Stern radio show" handbook

Maybe when they at WNEW, now the show sucks. Its awful and based
around a gay retard in a wheelchair that dildos himself for Opie and Stalker
patty. I actually just cancelled XM, and I only bought it for the show.

Howard Stern got a check for $500 million. More money than
Opie and Anthony will make in both their careers combined. 'nuff said.
This had a lot more to do with the idiot who was running Sirius at the
time than it did Howard's value.
XM has stated they thought, 20, even 30 million a year was possible.
But 100 mln? "We never even considered" a number in this range.
Yeah, but those are the same idiots who thought that (even at a paltry
7 cents a day) there was a market for charging a premium to listen to
Opie and Anthony. Not exactly "big thinkers" when it comes to judging
the value of radio personalities.

You have zero credibility when you refer to XM management as "idiots".

These guys have executed with absolute perfection since day one --
which is THE reason XM is not merely the industry leader, but is
stomping the living shit out of Sirius at every turn. Whether it is in
subscribers, fiscally, technology, OEM presence, content, whatever. XM
literally leads in every category. And the lead is getting BIGGER in
most.

How can you justify your use of the term "idiot"? You have called me
"idiot" innumerable times, and I can say only if by doing so you're
putting me in the category with these people, I'll plead guilty as
charged.

Sorry frontmed, but anyone who thought that Opie and Anthony could be
sold for a premium is an idiot. The magnatude of the failure of that
venture on XM proves it. That failure was part of what you laughably
call "executing with absolute perfection". Now do you see why I
repeatedly have been pointing out that you don't have any credibility
and are a shameless XM shill who is constantly making idiotic false
claims about XM??

The "magnatude" [sic] of the failure is neither great nor is it known,
and certainly is smaller than will be the magnitude of the Stern
failure.

As to my remarks about XM neither you nor anyone else has yet to point
to any falsehood I have posted.

You've reached the point of the argument where Double-yqf has no
answers, and no Howard to supply them for him, so he will simply start
repeating "idiot" and "retard" over and over again. Ironic, isn't it?

He never did acknowledge a lot of those facts about Sirius people were
posting that they found from the very same url he was using to show just
how great things looked for Sirius.

Not known??? Trying to sell Opie and Anthony as a premium failed so
badly that XM bailed out on it just a few months after they started it.
That's not exactly what I would call "executing with absolute
perfection". It failed and it was abandoned. It's over. It's history.
What more do we need to know?

You're not paying attention frontmed. I pointed out several lies and
misstatements of yours just in the last few days, and your lies and
misstatements are regularly documented by many other posters over in
alt.satellite.radio. You can try to deny it all you want frontmed, but
your shameless shilling for XM based on information that you seem to
pull out of your ass is well known in the various satellite radio
discussion groups.

Don't listen to this idiot. He knows that O&A were put on the premium
channel because XM management was afraid they might lose some OEM deals if
the boys were immediately available. He knows that, from day one of their
show, they bitched about being on premium and tried to get management to
take them off. He also knows they *quadrupled* the projected number of
listeners who subscribed to them while they were on the premium channel.
But he is double yqf so facts mean nothing to him.

Not exactly. According to this statement from the Form 8-K disclosure
that Sirius filed with the SEC, Sirius will be paying the costs of the
Stern show staff out of their ESTIMATED budget of $100M/year:

"Our aggregate fixed obligations under the agreement are approximately
$100 million per year. These costs include production and operating
costs for the show, including compensation of show cast and staff,
overhead, construction costs for a dedicated studio, a budget for the
development of additional programming and marketing concepts, and
payments to Stern and his agent."
