San Antonio Mexican homosexual arrested for murder, leaving lover's decapitated head near L.A.'s "Hollywood" sign

Los Angeles cops cracked a cold case straight out of a big box-
office thriller, arresting the boyfriend of the man whose
severed head was found in a park in 2012 near the Hollywood sign.

Gabriel Campos-Martinez, 38, was arrested in San Antonio on
Sunday, more than two years after cops say he killed,
dismembered and buried Hervey Coronado Medellin, 66, in Griffith
Park.

Two dog walkers stumbled upon Medellin’s severed head along a
hiking trail near the world-famous Hollywood sign in January
2012.

Police found feet and hands belonging to Medellin about 50 yards
away, buried in a shallow grave.

The startling find led cops immediately to Medellin’s nearby
home, which he shared with Campos-Martinez.

The boyfriend had reported Medellin, a retired Mexicana Airlines
employee, missing just a week before the body was found.

But Campos-Martinez made “inconsistent and suspicious
statements” about his partner and even took a polygraph test,
which showed the suspected killer was “deceitful of dismembering
the victim’s body and having knowledge of the victim’s murder,”
the Los Angeles Times reported.

A coroner’s report shows Medellin was strangled around Dec. 27,
2011, then found Jan. 17, 2012, in the park where he was known
to walk his dog.

It’s unclear when Campos-Martinez moved to Texas — and why he
had relocated.

Campos-Martinez is held in lieu of $1 million bail and awaits
extradition to California, where he’ll face a murder charge.
