That is not true...
My husband is his first cousin.
He was born Sumner Redstone.
His Father Michael(Mickey) changed their last name to Redstone from
Rohtstein..not Rothstein...
Mickey was born in Boston and anglicized the name ...which was a common
practice then.
The direct translation of Rohtstein from German to English is Red Stone.
As for Sumner's waspish tastes only in your fantasy world.
He is large contributor to many Jewish organizations and to Israel and is very
vocal about it...and very proud and has been honored many times locally
nationally and by the State of Israel.
He's quite a bit older than my husband but he knows him well....
That is not to say he is not an SOB but eveything else you wrote was false.

get ahead and assimilate in the culture of WASP's. An overwhelming Jews
did not anglicize their name, and like black people, wear their heart on

old geezer wanted to make sure when he applied for a job, that no one knew
he was Jewish. To atone for his guilt, he contributes a great deal to
Jewish causes. I would have liked to see him make it in the '40's as

credits of all movies and tv shows, the names that aren't Jews, really are,
they just use non-Jewish names like Larry King, Tony Randall, etc.
