Last night while laying in bed I had a revelation that these 2 are very
much
alike in their careers.
They are both bald and black...oh wait wrong list.
Howard's wife left him, Mike's wife left him (although she came back when
she found out that a lot of the money is in foreign accounts that she
can't
get access to. Allison cleaned Howie out, then found another rich guy to
latch on to.)
They both have 3 kids
Mike can't win a title without Pippen or Rodman, Howard can't win in the
ratings without Jackie or Billy (or a silent Fred). Mainly Jackie.
Mike's current surrounding cast isn't very good, Howard's current
surrounding cast sucks.
Mike couldn't make his JV basketball team, Howard wasn't able to make it
at
several stations early in his career.
Mike retired and came back. Then retired and came back. Howard is
constantly "wanting to retire" but doesn't have the balls to do it, even
though he has had ample opportunity. So in essence he keeps coming back as
well as each contract expires.
Mike went from 1st in scoring to 7th this past year. Howard's ratings
have
gone from 1st to 4th or 5th or 7th or so in many major markets.
Mike had to cut the season short because of an injury, and his knee is
still
bothering him, Howard's hand (thumb whatever) is currently injured.
Mike is just a shadow of what he used to be, Howard...
